I have always believed that we are made of countless lines long before we become words.

Every thought begins with one. Every memory leaves its own trace. Some remain visible, while others continue quietly beneath the surface, shaping who we become.

The Simple Line, created in Spain in 2016, emerged from my fascination with the quiet power of simplicity. By reducing each garment to its most essential form, I sought to let structure, space, and rhythm find their own balance—without excess, without explanation.

The Simple Line, created in Spain in 2016, emerged from my fascination with the quiet power of simplicity. By reducing each garment to its most essential form, I sought to let structure, space, and rhythm find their own balance—without excess, without explanation.

In these photographs, drawing continues through the body. The figure no longer simply wears the garment; it becomes part of the composition itself, dissolving the boundary between fashion, drawing, and space.

Here, Zara Saberi asks whether a line is ever only a line—or whether it is the first trace of an idea, the beginning of a journey, or the invisible path we leave behind as we move through the world.
